I have 85 hours on my 4300 Hydro. Today, while driving my 4300, slowly moving forward(1,800 rpms), on flat land,..... all of a sudden the rpms jumped up to 2,500 or so, the forward peddle went all the way down and the tractor surged forward going very fast for about 4 seconds and then it went back to moving slowly again, happened 2 times. Anyone have any experience with anything similar to this. Thanks, Ray

Hey....DINO...... The only way to go is NEW.....Last year I bought a New Toyota Tundra and a New JD4300 Hydro 4x4 and I love both of them. Toyota and John Deere have fine reputations and resale is great. By the way both my Tractor and Truck are GREEN. Hydro is so easy, a mineless operation, no changing of gears when you have other things to do. As I get older, I prefer machines that require less work to operate. Locate a good dealer by talking with other local tractor owners. Bite the bullet and go for what you really want. Remember Apple Pie, Toyota and JOHN DEERE. Ray Holland

I looked at the 4100, 4200 and 4300 and went with the 4300 hydro 4 wheel drive and love it. I do the same type of work with my tractor as you do with yours.. You will never be sorry if you bought the JD4300, just bite the bullet, buy what you really want. Ray

I purchased my JD4300 tractor in April of 99 and have 50 hours of use on the tractor now. In July my dealer called me and said he needed to pick up my tractor and install an "updated differential thrust washer". After they returned the tractor, I used it and noticed a buzzing sound coming out of the rear end area. I called the dealer and they picked up the tractor and replaced the PTO dampener and reassembled(as it states on the work performed description), they were also suppose to paint the PTO cover which was badly scratched from the 1st time they performed work. My dealer returned the tractor to me, the buzzing sound is still there and they didn't paint the PTO cover either. I also have noticed that when I turn the front wheels real hard to the right, the inner left side of the right tire badly rubs the black figerglass cover of the four hydraulic lines going to the front loader. Comments please...Ray<br>
